On this hands-on course you’ll be introduced to a wide range of hand tools, machine tools and finishing techniques. You’ll focus on the fundamentals of woodworking and gain a basic understanding of furniture making in a relaxed atmosphere.

Ready for your first date with woodworking? Join designer and furniture maker, Kirsty of Fine Piece, to learn the basics of woodworking, as you practice your new skills on a simple box.
We provide woodworking machine training for novice learners, experienced operators and supervisors as well as abrasive wheel and portable power tool courses. All backed by respected quality assurance assessors PIABC
Level 1 introduces the learner to carpentry and joinery skills. It allows students to learn, develop and practise their practical ability and construction knowledge with a mixture of theory and practical sessions which develops the learner at their own pace.
This 1 day course will teach students how to make a 3 legged solid timber, wedged tenon stool. The course combines hand and power tools.
