Rap, R&B, and old school music allows the style and mood of street dance to increase a dancer’s individuality, creativity, and challenge their sense of personal expression.
Age appropriateness is a part of our Hip Hop curriculum. We believe that all dancers should learn choreography that is respectful and appropriate of their age and gender. Our Hip Hop program starts from ages 4 and up.
Capitol Dance Company has been serving San Jose and the South Bay Area since 1978, educating students two years old to sixty years young in the art of dance. For over 43 years, we have grown and expanded while maintaining our positive reputation for quality dance instruction. The class incorporates a fusion of dance styles set to age appropriate hip hop, R&B and pop music. This class works on basic rhythm and coordination, breaking down steps to combine into fun, energetic routines.
Students will develop coordination, build self-esteem and learn how to interpret the music to develop their own freestyle movement.
Hip Hop Dance Classes are offered by Houston City Dance.
