You will prepare 3 pies, one will be baked and frozen during class, one will be prepared to be baked at home and one will be prepared in class, then assembled at home. Make sure to tell your guests to save room for dessert because they’re going to want to sample your newly honed baking skills.
The Pastry Chefs at Cook Street are going to walk you through a variety of techniques in making classic pies such as crust, fillings, and lattices. Enjoy a light snack before and after class, served with a glass of wine!

Celebrate the return of summer by learning to bake some delicious pies! In this class, our owner and executive chef, Kara, teach you to create 2 types of crust: traditional pie crust and graham cracker crust. Each student will create a classic apple pie and an irresistible key lime pie.
In this new class, you will learn classic, simple and not-so-simple techniques on how to finish, garnish, decorate and serve the perfect cake. We discuss and demo ways to troubleshoot issues of baking, but the primary focus of this class is finish work.
