This baking course includes the bakery certificate. bakery and pastry chefs are always in demand in the restaurant business: from working in the best restaurants, to creating pastries and desserts as part of a catering business, to the delicacies of classic pastry making.

However, cake bakery and pastry-making require different skills than working as a chef assistant. This course has been developed to prepare students for the needs of industry and will teach you the fundamental skills and techniques needed to master this exciting profession.

It covers all the essential pastry and confectionery skills needed for a successful career as a pastry chef - and will also give you the chance to improve your overall cooking ability.

While the course incorporates the necessary theory, it is designed to maximize hands-on training and hands-on cooking experience.

You will learn about different baked goods and gain the skills, confidence and know-how to prepare different types of dough, sponge and pastry, and produce delicious cakes, meringues, cookies and frozen desserts.

This course also covers the art of sugar and decorative supports, as well as a supervision module of the pastry section of a kitchen.
