Participants in this course will be introduced to facilitating a safe environment in their own area of work. Course material will enable participants to recognize and prevent potential hazards.
Overview of Skills Foundation:
An introduction to cleaning techniques, the correct use of chemicals and basic use of cleaning equipment are covered in the programme. Participants will be equipped to work with other people in a service environment.
National and local regulations and working practices are included in all practical competencies, including health and safety, customer contact and housekeeping services.
Overview Skills Proficiency:
Participants in this course will be able to maintain safe working conditions. Adoption of safe procedures for themselves and others are covered. The carrying out of cleaning procedures, effectively organising cleaning activities and efficiently carrying our cleaning tasks are included in the programme.

Skills learnt on this course include Life Skills, Cleaning Skills, Laundry Skills, and Cooking Skills. Learners can be placed as housekeepers in private homes, housekeeping assistants in hotels or guesthouses, or general cleaners (office cleaners).
