International Diploma in Hospitality Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hospitality industry and a knowledge of the underlying principles involved.

Alternatively, students may use it as a pathway to advanced study, typically progressing Advanced Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management.
Since the Diploma is designed to be broadly equivalent to that of the first year of a bachelor’s degree, students may use the qualification to apply for credit entry to a number of bachelor degree programmes at selected universities worldwide.
Module Synopsis:
Module 1: Introduction to Hospitality & Tourism Industry
This module aims to provide a basic understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry by focusing on the organisation of hotel and food and beverage operations and industry opportunities and future trends.
It helps students advance in their careers by giving them a broad foundation of hospitality industry knowledge.
Module 2: Business Operations in Hospitality & Tourism Industry
The module will provide students with a board introduction into the complex world of hospitality and tourism business operations. It provides an overview of the separate functions and activities that are expected of supervisors and managers.
Module 3: Marketing in Hospitality & Tourism Operations
To provide students with an understanding of marketing and its application in the international hotel and tourism industries, and the ways in which marketing strategies and approaches can be used to optimize product penetration.
Module 4: Front Office Operations
This module introduces students to the systems and procedures required for Front Offices Operations. It provides an overview of the functions and supervisory aspects of the front office department.
Students will develop knowledge and skills in departmental procedures as well as understanding the key legislation.
Module 5: Housekeeping and Accommodations Operations
This module introduces students to the systems and procedures required for Housekeeping and Accommodation Operations. It provides an overview of the functions and supervisory aspects of the department.
The students will develop knowledge and skills in departmental procedures as well as understanding of safety and security responsibilities.
Module 6: Food and Beverage Operations
This unit covers understanding the principles of food production operations, food production operations and food and beverage service.
It also covers evaluating the effectiveness of food and beverage operations, developing food and beverage operations, understanding how to arrange banquets and functions, understanding how to supervise the purchasing and storage of food and beverages and the management of staff performance’.
