This is an 8-week course held every Thursday evening (6:00-8:00pm). Italian for beginners includes the study of the 4 main aspects of the language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Initially, the focus will be on listening and speaking and applying simple grammar structures to communicate in everyday situations.
Cultural aspects will be integrated into the use of language and grammar, (i.e. gestures in Italian culture as a means of non-verbal communication). The aim of the course is familiarising the students to the sounds and the use of Italian. Participants will be expected to take part in simple role-playing games.
DASC runs two levels of Italian courses: Beginners & Intermediate. This ensures that the varying levels of students' proficiency can be catered for, and students can move between levels according to their needs.
