You will learn some basic Jazz technique which helps to develop balance, co-ordination and mobility, and enjoy learning diverse routines to uplifting music.

Conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from Leeds city centre in a converted textile mill, we are easily accessible and provide the perfect backdrop for activities ranging from tap-dancing to photography, with all the facilities you need to feel at home.
Our team is headed up by founder Katie who is a trained professional dancer and teacher.
Since opening in 2009, we’ve welcomed to the studios a wide variety of dance styles from belly dancing to break dancing, opened our doors to people of all abilities, and welcomed clients from the BBC, West End Theatre companies, local businesses, party planners and wedding couples, who have used the space for a wide range of activities.
Katie and her team of top class freelance dance teachers also take the benefits of dance out to schools, colleges, universities, businesses and organisations.

Jazz classes don’t follow a syllabus, instead featuring a wide variety of modern choreographic styles.
Modern Jazz is the ‘icing on the cake subject’ and all our youngsters look forward to joining these classes as soon as they can. Classes are lively, noisy, energetic and full of fun, everyone wants to do them!
Jazz dance classes are offered by SR Dance Academy. We provide dance classes to children and adults. We offer a safe haven for students to meet new friends, express themselves through dance and overall build self esteem.
Jam Dance’s aim is to teach and inspire their students to develop their technical knowledge and ability as well as instilling confidence and passion for dance and performance.
The teacher adapts the routines to suit individuals so this class is suitable for all levels (except professional level).
