The music used is current and popular, the content is dynamic and cleanly structured with pilates based warmups and cool downs. It’s fun and exciting to learn for all ages.
The work fully trains the student in all aspects of Jazz with the inclusion of basic Ballet techniques and the depth of technique required to encourage performance, style and the sheer enjoyment. The syllabus is always evolving and attracts young dancers who enjoy the diverse styles they develop.

Students learn a wide range of steps and combinations and get to learn many different styles of jazz.
This class teaches students basic jazz techniques such as turns, leaps and jumps whilst combining musicality, stamina and control within the grade progressions. Exams are offered in this subject progressing from junior/beginner level through to teaching qualifications and diplomas.
Ruske Performing Arts is offering jazz exams. You can begin this style from the age of 5. Â A fun well developed style structure that has lead many students to full time training.
The Dance Institute offers all RAD Ballet grades from Pre-Primary to Advanced, all NZAMD Jazz and Contemporary Levels and all SADTA Modern dance Levels as well as specialised Stretch and Strengthen classes.
