Jazz dance is characterised by pirouettes, jumps and leaps and dance routines to upbeat songs. Dancers are invited to participate in examinations and to perform at our dance showcase and end of year concert. We use the ATOD syllabus in our Jazz Classes.

Our jazz is a combination of Theatre/Broadway Jazz as seen in movies such as Chicago where students focus on technique & rhythm, to modern Funk Jazz seen in music video clips and movies where students learn the latest moves to modern music

Jazz dance represents our popular culture and it is forever changing. This class starts off with warm up combinations, and traveling movement including jumps and turns across the floor. Throughout all exercises emphasis is placed on individual capabilities.
Flexibility, strength and coordination are all benefits you gain from Jazz, learning technique such as kicks, leaps and turns but most of all, Jazz is simply great fun, dancing to all your favourite songs you hear on the radio today!
