When students have acquired a certain level of competency and/or age, Jazz Classes combine with a Contemporary and Modern Dance component that encourages self-expression and creative movement.
In our Jazz and Contemporary classes, students work toward a routine to perform in our annual concert, held at the end of each dance year.
Jazz and Contemporary dance classes will run on the same day as age appropriate classical classes so that students can enjoy both styles if they wish.

Heidi’s School of Dance is a Newcastle dance school, offering a friendly and personal approach to the exciting world of dance, with very successful results.
We encourage students to appreciate the technical importance of dance, balanced with an enjoyment of creative expression within a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our enthusiastic staff acknowledge that not every child who enters a dance class will have a life-long career in dancing, however, other benefits such as developing friendships; self-discipline; self-esteem as well as learning about working as a member of a team, will remain with the students throughout their lifetimes.
Our dance studio offers tuition in Classical Ballet; Jazz; Modern and Contemporary Dance and caters for students from three years of age. Classes are held from Monday to Thursday during School Terms. For more information about classes for you or your child, please contact us.
