The studio has two classes; beginner and general level. Just pick the level that is suited to your ability and experience.
Elements of afro and lyrical jazz are also included in this class. Modern jazz grade lessons are held on Wednesdays at 7.30 pm
What do I wear?
The Basement employs a casual approach to dancewear. We ask for appropriate jazz shoes and general loose exercise clothing. The Basement puts on regular performances. Please enquire if you are interested in performing.
We have been in operation for over sixteen years at the same location.
All of our teachers are experienced and trained dancers. We provide performing opportunities and access to performance jobs once you are a member.
Non-members can book individual courses on a six-week block basis. Try before you buy: join the club for one day and see how the club functions on a daily basis.
We're confident that we can fulfill all your dancing needs. We are bound to have an option for you.
Jazz classes don’t follow a syllabus, instead featuring a wide variety of modern choreographic styles.
Adv Jazz classes are offered by Giselle Academy Dance. Here at Giselle Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts we are passionate about offering dance classes to both girls and boys off all ages and abilities.
hese classes run on Saturdays, and all Spotlight pupils are encouraged to attend. A balance of modern/jazz work is done in these classes, along with musical theatre routines & songs.
Jazz incorporates traditional or stylized dynamic movements with strength, continuity, presence and proper technical execution. Jazz is lively, energetic and motivating, with the understanding that the dynamics of movement may change to utilize musicality.
Jazz Technique juniors classes are offered by Zayna Dance Academy. Our goal is to give each individual dancer the tools they need to take dance as far as they dream to take it.
