The studio has two classes; beginner and general level. Just pick the level that is suited to your ability and experience.
Elements of afro and lyrical jazz are also included in this class. Modern jazz grade lessons are held on Wednesdays at 7.30 pm
What do I wear?
The Basement employs a casual approach to dancewear. We ask for appropriate jazz shoes and general loose exercise clothing. The Basement puts on regular performances. Please enquire if you are interested in performing.
We have been in operation for over sixteen years at the same location.
All of our teachers are experienced and trained dancers. We provide performing opportunities and access to performance jobs once you are a member.
Non-members can book individual courses on a six-week block basis. Try before you buy: join the club for one day and see how the club functions on a daily basis.

Students are building on the basics of jazz technique to popular and age-appropriate music.
