Acro Dance is the performing of extraordinary feats of balance and agility in a dance form. It’s a style of dance that combines classical techniques with acrobatic elements. While all dance is physical, this form is particularly athletic and has unique choreography due to its use of acrobatics in a dance environment.
Acro dance will help strengthen muscles. It is great for increasing flexibility. Memorising intricate choreography and moves like cartwheels, chest stands, hand springs, and hand walking promotes co-ordination.
Apparatus such as mats and springboards are used for practice purposes. This genre enhances the other dance forms by increasing flexibility and strength.
Performers Theatre School was established in 2001.
Our studios are opposite the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool’s Hope Street.
Alongside the excellent standard of training in Dance, Drama and Singing, all of our students are nurtured and cared for, from the very shy to the very confident.

This class introduces your child to the basics of Acro dance - forward rolls , handstands & cartwheels etc. Strength & flexibility is also developed in a fun and interactive lesson.
Acro Dance (10 Year and up) classes are offered by Dancewise Studios. Dancewise will help you achieve your goals – whether you want to build confidence, improve your body shape, make friends with like-minded people or aim for the stars in one of our elite performance teams!
Our Acrobatic Arts class focus’ on acrobatic dance moves & balance, where the focus is on strength, poise and flexibility. The aim is to incorporate these moves into dance routines.
Our Acrobatics classes follow the Acrobatic Arts program allowing our dancers to train in the art of AcroDance. The program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling.
Acrobatics is a subject that concentrates on flexibility, balancing skills and full body strength and is a great way for dancers to keep supple.
