The desire to create music is a natural urge and for many the Keyboard is an obvious choice of instrument. Capable of producing beautiful sounds, it fits across virtually all genres. Producing delicate, single-note melody lines or rich, polyphonic textures.
The keyboard was developed in the early 1960's. It is one of the most popular instruments in the world and is widely used in pop and jazz music.
Pupils may start on electric keyboard from year 2. It may be more appropriate for lessons to be taken as a pair or individually but if resources allow, small group lessons are possible.
Keyboard classes are offered by Sheffield Music Academy. We provides specialist 1:1 instrumental tuition of 30, 45 or 60 minutes from a team of passionate and exceptional tutors who travel across the country each week to work with our students.
