About the Course

Korean is the official language of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) and is spoken by approximately 80 million people worldwide.

According to the latest research report by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are about 2.5 million speakers in China, about 2 million in the United States, and about 800,000 in Japan. Canada, Russia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Australia, Kazakhstan, the Philippines and Brazil also have significant populations.

 As South Korea's influence on the global economy continues to grow, the importance of the Korean language is steadily increasing around the world. Being able to speak Korean gives you access to an amazing and interesting group of Korean speakers around the world.

Although relations with North Korea are not so good, South Korea remains one of Asia's most profitable economies and ranks as the world's 7th largest exporting economy. Globalization through the widespread development of technology and the advent of the Internet has brought about the integration of most of the world's economies.
