Benefits of Kyokushin Karate
Karate is for everyone regardless of age, gender or ability.
It is a multi disciplined activity as within karate you have many disciplines comprising formal moves known as kihon, set combinations known as renraku and formal patterns / sequences of movements known as kata, self defence and application of techniques known as bunkai and / or goshin jutsu.
Kumite / sparring is varied and includes; point sparring, freestyle sparring, clicker kumite, jiyu kumite (free fighting) and knockdown sparring (adults and teenagers over 16 years). Together with strengthening and general fitness exercises comprising of circuits, skipping, bag, shield and focus mitt work to develop core strength and stamina.
KKC Karate encourages positive thinking and doing one’s best with an emphasis on teaching all students the importance of treating others with respect and courtesy regardless of ability, grade, gender or age.

Kyokushin Karate Grading
Once enrolled, you will be trained in the techniques of Kyokushin Karate.
Ususally after a minimum of three months training, once a solid understanding of techniques is attained, students are eligible to attend their first grading to assess their development in Karate.
Grading’s are normally held quarterly in March, June, September & December (or as determined by the IFKKA).
KKC Karate (Kyokushin Karate Club) is located at 422 Lyons Rd, Five Dock in Sydney’s Inner West. The school was established in November 2008 by Sensei Jenny Fuller (4th dan).
At KKC Karate we teach students of all ages Kyokushin Karate which in martial arts circles is generally considered to be the Strongest Karate. Sensei Jenny (4th Dan) started training in 1994 and is now a Yondan (4th Dan) in Kyokushin.
This class will teach you the basics, from learning how to fall, to clinching, and taking down, to successfully setting up and applying a submission hold as well as various escapes. We provide detailed instruction so you can master the sport.
At Quantum Martial Arts, we teach the Northstar Ju Jitsu system. You will learn immediate and practical fighting skills. Simple defensive combinations are taught in all ranges of fighting, so you gain the confidence to protect yourself in any situation.
