You will also cover aspects of Health and Safety issues and how to maintain good working relationships, both with colleagues and customers. You will be trained by an experienced tradesperson in our purpose-designed Construction Centre. You will be taught in a well-equipped workshop with all the up-to-date resources associated with this type of course.
You will have the opportunity to use this equipment to develop your skills in Carpentry and Joinery. You will be closely tutored in all aspects of the course. Safety is a prime objective and you will be expected to provide suitable safety footwear.
Progression
Level 3 courses, apprenticeships or employment.
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade 2-3, or completion of Level 1 carpentry course.

Over the course of a long weekend (Friday – Monday), students receive a good grounding in the basics of woodwork. Â
This elemental two day beginners' course is intended for those new to woodworking or with limited experience.
This course is a great introduction to woodworking. The course is for one day, and you will be using hand and power tools to make this box in solid oak and contrasting top. During the day you will learn cutting, planing, and machining techniques.
We provide woodworking machine training for novice learners, experienced operators and supervisors as well as abrasive wheel and portable power tool courses. All backed by respected quality assurance assessors PIABC
