The Level 3 Diploma in Nail Services (QCF) is a job ready qualification based on National Occupational Standards (NOS).
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in Nail Services to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.
What Will I Learn?
This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced practitioner in the nail industry.
Throughout this qualification you will monitor and maintain health & safety practices and apply and maintain nail enhancements using Liquid and Powder and UV Gel.
To further enhance your skills you will also study the following units; Develop a range of creative nail images, Plan and create nail art designs, Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities and Enhance and maintain nails using wraps.
You will also be required to complete: Level 3 Communication, Level 3 Application of Number and Level 3 Working with Others
Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English/Welsh first Language), or a Level 2 qualification in Beauty
Assessment
Assessment will include practical observation, oral questions, written questions and externally set exams. You will need to create a portfolio of evidence.
Career Progression
This is an approved qualification for working as a senior nail technician. It also provides a sound platform for further learning or training. Progression opportunities exist in the form of specialist VTCT vocationally related qualifications at Levels 3 and 4.

Purchase of Equipment and Kit is required for this course (Compulsory Cost - Uniform - Approximately £35, Nail Kit - Approximately £230). Please discuss this at interview stage with a tutor after you have applied.
