Our Story

Discovery College is part of YMCA Plymouth and was founded in 2010 as a modern, innovative vocational College which grew out of YMCA’s successful training department.

YMCA Plymouth has been delivering education & training for over 100 years, making it one of the most established independent education providers in the city. Building upon this heritage, Discovery College was formed as a modern response to the current needs of young people; enabling them succeed in the contemporary jobs market.

Today, Discovery College has established a reputation for delivering high quality education and training to over 250 students each year. We have fantastic relationships with local business, schools and Universities, enabling our students to thrive upon their graduation. We are extremely proud of our proven track record in enabling students to realise their ambitions and find success in their futures.
