Often more rewarding than photography during the day our environment is transformed into scenes of colour, vibrance and reflections at night. Venturing out at dusk allows us to capture beautiful images with rich colours, traffic light trails and painting with light.

During summer months we’ll mainly be concentrating on twilight and low light photography rather than full darkness due to the extremely long daylight hours.
The Photography Project is led by Iain Afshar, a Bristol based photographer, fully qualified teacher and professional International Mountain Leader. With a career in teaching and leading groups in the outdoors I have travelled around the world and been lucky enough to photograph some of the most amazing scenery, people and places along the way.
I specialise in outdoor, landscape, low light and adventure travel photography as well as studio based experimental and macro photography. My love of photography has always been at the core of my adventures and is the reason for setting up The Photography Project.
We aim to share the skills, techniques and knowledge required to capture unique, captivating and inspiring images both in the great outdoors and in the studio. We also offer you the chance to try out some fun and exciting experimental photography projects from our Bristol Harbourside studio. We guarantee that you will come away with some fantastic images you can be proud of. In addition to our Bristol based workshops and projects we also offer landscape photography trips around the UK and beyond.
