Lyrical students are encouraged to take a one hour ballet or jazz technique class. Lyrical students will perform one routine in the Spring Recital.
Girls must wear a solid color leotard or dance dress, ballet skirt, pink or tan tights, and tan jazz shoes. Boys will wear black sweatpants or tights, a solid white t-shirt (no graphics), and black slip on jazz shoes.
Beginners learn from highly trained professionals in a comfortable and kind setting. Experienced dancers are challenged to strengthen their skills and continue to grow and learn in an inclusive environment.
Lyrical dance is the fusion of Ballet and Jazz dance. Dancers will learn to express themselves through song lyrics and improve their musicality while blending ballet technique with the style of jazz. Students are encouraged to take a ballet and or jazz class in addition to this class.
Lyrical Dance Classes are offered by Hip Hop Dance Junkies for all ages and skill level. We provide our clients (singles, couples, or groups) with a more personal experience to focus on anything that they want to excel at.
Lyrical focuses on the emotional aspects of dance while combining the technical elements of ballet with the freedom, fluidity, expressiveness and airier aspects of jazz, contemporary and modern.
Our Lyrical classes are based on solid Ballet technique with a strong emphasis on personal expression. We instill in our dancers the connection between emotions and movements and the importance of "telling a story" through dance.
Lyrical Dance Classes are offered by Dance Studio 111 for all ages and skill level. Apart from honing their dancing skills, we also instill good character traits in our dancers. Our teachers inspire students, teaching them life skills they can carry off the stage.
