Started in 2019, this program explores issues of Diversity and Inclusion in Dance through a series of events hosted by the Teen Leadership Team. The Teen Leadership Team is comprised of ATD Teens from many genres, levels, and identities who are passionate about Diversity and Inclusion topics.
Strength, flexibility, balance, alignment and artistry are the focuses of our ballet program. We work to stay true to ballet’s traditions and rich history while incorporating 21st century knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, pedagogy and inclusion.
An extension of a dancer’s training, lyrical classes combine techniques from jazz, ballet and modern dance with movement inspired by song lyrics.
Our program focuses on classical jazz techniques, with a strong theatrical influence. Jazz creates a solid foundation from which dancers will grow in this uniquely American dance style.
A great way to develop rhythm, coordination, and muscle control. Classes involve detailed footwork, improvisation, and articulation of sound. Tap is a high energy dance style and a great tool for self-expression.
Our preschool classes are full of singing, dancing, and playing as we explore creative dance concepts such as SIZE, SPEED, SHAPE, and more!
