Lyrical

Students ages 7 and up are invited to use their own creative imagery and musicality in Lyrical class. Students are encouraged to express themselves and put feeling into the steps as they develop their technical skills.  

Lyrical dance is the fusion of Ballet and Jazz dance. Dancers will learn to express themselves through song lyrics and improve their musicality while blending ballet technique with the style of jazz. Students are encouraged to take a ballet and or jazz class in addition to this class.

Lyrical Dance Classes are offered by Dance Studio 111 for all ages and skill level. Apart from honing their dancing skills, we also instill good character traits in our dancers. Our teachers inspire students, teaching them life skills they can carry off the stage.

Lyrical Dance Classes are offered by South Bay Dance Center for all ages and skill level. South Bay Dance Center is recognized by many bay area professional dancers and college faculty members as the premiere dance education facility for serious dance students in the greater San Jose region.

This class is a fusion of ballet techniques in combination with the athletic and expressive contemporary dance form. With a focus on ballet technique, French terminology, and proper alignment, the dancers explore ballet barre work, across-the-floor progressions, and center work.
