At West Austin Dance Academy we strive to deliver the highest caliber of technique in all our dance classes. Welcome to the Austin Dance Training Program (ADTP), a dance program designed for dancers taking their skills to the next level.

This new branch of our program is made to increase dancers skills, as well as help with parent scheduling during this pandemic, and provides a safe and social environment for the dancers.

Bethany grew up studying ballet , jazz and tap at the age of 3 under the direction of Patsy Swayze and moved to other styles of dance such as hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical a few years after beginning her dancing journey. By 15, she was touring with competition companies and winning national titles with self-choreography as well as continuing pursuing group choreography. Since entering the dance world, Bethany has been fortunate enough to teach classes and choreography for dance companies, competitive school groups, and colleges. Through her years of training she competed and won several class scholarships from JUMP, Tremaine Dance Convention and New York City Dance Alliance. As well as performance scholarships, from Kids Artistic Revue, Starbound, Starquest and West Coast Dance Explosion. After graduating high school she started directing and running backstage for various competition companies. She has spent the last 5 years continuing her training and education at The Edge and Millenium Dance Complex in Southern California. Bethany’s success with teaching began in 2005, giving instruction to all ages and levels. She makes it a priority to mix both intense dance training with compassion to mentor dancers to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Bethany has been an assistant director and choreographer for both recreational and competitive level dancers winning Top Choreography Awards, Judges Choice Awards, Overall Placements and Scholarships for her students. She is a versatile teacher with a plethora of knowledge in multiple genres of dance and is a certified USGA tumbling instructor .
