Make-up Artistry Workshop

An urban setting with a light, spacious and opulent feel.  Halcyon is just the place to come and be pampered. It is here co-directors Kerry Penisula-Spain and Kyla Allan have created an urban sanctuary right in the heart of Invercargill.

Qualified hair and makeup artists collaborate to inspire and create, to ensure clients leave feeling positive and nurtured.  This means clients benefit from the knowledge and experience of the stylists who have been hand picked for their excellent skills. The space has also been created to allow for a variety of events.  

An area to the rear of the establishment is multi-purpose, converting to a photographic studio or a space where one-on-one makeup tuition, training workshops, seminars or even wedding parties can be accommodated. Unlike the busy atmosphere of other salons, Halcyon has an almost zen-like quality, creating an atmosphere of peace and relaxation.

Halcyon is a group of passionate artists who charge hourly session rates based on their eduction, experience, specialities, craft and demand.  We are all about transparency here, and believe that should apply to pricing, too.  

Each session is tailored to fit your unique hair and makeup needs.  Your artist will create a bespoke hair plan that they can accomplish during the service time booked.
