Makeup Artistry Programs

The objective of the Makeup Artistry Program is to teach students both the fundamentals and advanced techniques to master the latest industry trends. Throughout the course students will develop the analytical skills required to determine appropriate makeup services and to achieve the best look for each client.

Training Description

This program applies academic and ‘hands-on’ practical learning to ensure graduates are equipped with the skills needed to successfully gain employment in the field.

This program is supported through lectures, classroom discussions, demonstrations, practical experience applications on classmates, mannequins, and live clients, student portfolio development, guest demonstrations, and optional field trips.

Students will develop skills including but not limited to: Special FX, Airbrush, Color Theory, Conditioning, Sponge Techniques, Brush Techniques, Foundation, Blush Application, Eye and Brow Liner, Shadowing, Lip Design, Lighting Techniques, Eyelashes, Prosthetics, Retailing, Concealing, Primers, Powders, Contouring, Makeup for Men & Children, Safety, Sanitation, Camouflaging, High Definition Techniques, Marketing, and Portfolio Development. Career Opportunities include Bridal, Freelance, Film, Television, Runway, Production, Multimedia, Print, Red Carpet, Celebrity Stylist, Theatre, Costume, Retail, Educator, and Brand Platform Artist.
