Hi, I'm Ash and welcome to You and I Artistry! I am a qualified Makeup Artist who has been working in the industry for over 12 years. I began my makeup journey at 16 years old, leaving school and jumping right into studying hair and makeup. I've always been a creative person, but makeup felt like more than a creative outlet for me.

I fell in love with the transformative power of makeup and how it could bring so much confidence to a person. After graduating, I spent the following 10 years creating a large following of loyal clients, working for both MAC and Bobbi Brown. My years working on a makeup counter were some of the most rewarding.

Every day I was able to help people and share my knowledge. I am a firm believer that having your makeup done should be a collaborative experience and you should walk away with beautiful makeup as well as further knowledge on how to apply it yourself. 

My approach to beauty is to always make you feel exactly like yourself, but on a really good day! I specialise and have experience in beauty, bridal, fashion and editorial makeup.

I have worked with many incredible brands, businesses and events such as New Zealand Fashion Week, Trelise Cooper, Yu Mei, VIVA Magazine, Twenty Seven Names, The Body Shop, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Look Good Feel Better and Fashion for a Cure - just to name a few!
