A manicure and pedicure are beauty treatments for the hands and feet, respectively. The cuticles are gently pushed back using a cuticle pusher or an orangewood stick. This step helps to create a clean, neat appearance and prepares the nails for the next stage.

The first step in a pedicure is to soak the feet in warm water. This helps to soften the skin, relax the muscles, and prepare the feet for the following steps. Some salons may add salts, oils, or aromatic substances to the foot soak for added relaxation and rejuvenation.

After soaking, the pedicurist will proceed to remove any existing nail polish from the toenails, similar to the manicure process. Next, the nails are trimmed and shaped using a nail clipper and a nail file.
