We will cover multiple kinds of polish manicures and help students customize a routine specific to their personal goals. Classes are small from one on one, to just a few students, so personal and attentive attention to your learning needs and progress is always a priority.
Models are needed or can be supplied if notice is given well enough in advance. Obsession provides all in class product and equipment for students, as well as a professional take home student kit.
This course runs one day a week for 2 weeks with product and client homework between classes. Dates are flexible and certificate of completion is awarded to successful candidates.
Obsession Beauty Academy is a division of the top rated salon, Obsession Studio Spa. Created by our Master Educator Cera Jade, she knew it was time to change the local standard after receiving set after set of unsatisfactory rushed nails and never returning to the same salon twice.
Cera is an international nail competitor who invests in advanced training yearly to keep her skills on the forefront of industry advancements. She recently won “Top Canadian Nail Tech” in Division 2, as well as 3rd place in gel polish and 2nd in mixed media in Nailympia Nail Competitions.
Cera has been certified as an educator by multiple well known nail brands such as International Nail Manufacturers (INM) in April 2014 with Lorena Marquez and then took Ugly Duckling Nail Education in July 2016.
In 2015 Cera was hired to run the nail program for National Institute of Wellness and Aesthetics (NIWA). It was those experiences that drove her to spend over four years writing and developing the Obsession Beauty Academy programs, which she still updates and edits to this day.
We are now recognized in the local community for our excellent education and services, Cera has even been asked to guest speak for other educational esthetic institutes such as Delmar College.
This course is designed to certify you as a Beginner Acrylic Nail Technician! You will complete the online theory on your own time and then attend in person classes at M.INT Beauty In Williams Lake & Edmonton.
Nail Technician Training Course is Offered by National Association of Estheticians.
The student studies and develops an understanding of all aspects of professional manicure techniques. Students will work on one another and bring in clients for scheduled practical classes.
The Manicures program provides students with knowledge and skills on performing hand and nail treatments. From basic manicures to luxurious spa treatments, students learn to master technique, skill and how to handle difficult situations.
We provide a part-time Professional Nail Enhancement course that will expose students to vast and varied curriculum materials. We will teach treatments that include sculptured nails, gel and acrylic applications, fills and repairs, working with ultra-violet light, hot oil treatments paraffin dips.
