Each masterclass will start with Barre exercises and be followed by a short centre, in connection with the theme. However, the main focus of the class will be on different artistic-themed work and Classical Repertoire. A good classical level is required.
The Dance Place was founded in 2019 by Emma Hayes-Hudson, Emmanuelle Grizot and Sun Yining. TDP aims to make dance accessible to everyone.
At TDP, we understand the importance of involving different training methods, adapting to each student’s level and development needs; allowing them to become the best dancer they can be in a hard-working and positive environment.
The Dance Place at Forum, Orchard Road is a dance school in Singapore. We offer dance classes for kids and adults in Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Flexibility & Movement, Floor Barre, Hip Hop, Jazz Dance, K-Pop, Musical Theatre, Performance Skills, Song & Dance, Street Dance and Tap. We also offer adult dance fitness and exercise classes in Bollywood Dance Fitness, Pilates Stretch & Tone and Yoga.
TDP class levels are advised by age, as well as ability and experience. We will always arrange a complimentary Trial Class beforehand to make sure that each student is placed in the correct class and level. TDP Elite Performance classes are by invitation only. Students in these classes are expected to attend a certain number of classes per week and also hold a level of commitment to the classes and performances.
Suitable for boys and girls of all abilities, all babyballet® classes are non-competitive and taught in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
This class is perfect for those who would like to perform on stage and compete in dance competitions.

Ballet is a foundation class that works the poise, grace and lines of a dancer. From the basics of Ballet, students will learn to apply these techniques to other dances, giving them the ‘feel’ and grace of a professional dancer.
Ballet develops a sense of movement, promotes self-discipline and improves motion control and balance as well as improves posture and helps to coordinate mind and body.
