This class engages students in different works and repertoire that other artists have produced as well as exploring new ways to build and shape the teacher's choreography as well as their own.
It is strongly encouraged that students maintain a professional and dedicated mentality throughout this process to gain the benefits of what this class has to offer. Pre-requisite must be already registered in Ballet (2x per week) and/or Modern technique. Modern technique for at least 2 years prior to entering this class or by teacher's recommendation.
At HCA, we pride ourselves on the quality of our programming, the professional credentials of our instructors and the wide selection of classes within each discipline which our customers can choose from. We offer dance classes in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop and creative movement.
Music students can choose from private lessons in: piano, violin, woodwinds, guitar, drums, and vocal music. Our acting classes encourage imagination and self-expression. For students interested in visual arts, we offer classes for children and teens.
All potential students are able to enjoy one free group class or a free 15-minute private music assessment to find a class or teacher that is the perfect fit. When registering for classes we have payment options to suit a wide variety of budgets. Please feel free to come in, call, or e-mail. Our friendly administrative staff will be happy to assist you.
All classes are choreo based, meaning you will be learning a short routine in each class. Routines are changing weekly so, if we’re teaching a routine to your jam, getcha’ ass up and come #SweatWithUs. Classes ranging from into/beginner levelled to industry professional/advanced.
We have put forth a dance program called “The Dream Team” where children and adults with exceptionalities find their own dance language.
Poms is a great class for students to enhance their performance and technique. This class is designed to work on synchronization, clean and precise motions, strong pom technique; as well as visual effects including level changes, formation chagnes and the us of pom poms.
A fusion of various genres, varying from Hip Hop and House to Contemporary and Waacking. Each instructor brings their unique fusion and style to life in every class.
Learning choreography (spin and static) including combos and floorwork. Prerequisite: inter 3
