This class engages students in different works and repertoire that other artists have produced as well as exploring new ways to build and shape the teacher's choreography as well as their own.
It is strongly encouraged that students maintain a professional and dedicated mentality throughout this process to gain the benefits of what this class has to offer. Pre-requisite must be already registered in Ballet (2x per week) and/or Modern technique. Modern technique for at least 2 years prior to entering this class or by teacher's recommendation.
At HCA, we pride ourselves on the quality of our programming, the professional credentials of our instructors and the wide selection of classes within each discipline which our customers can choose from. We offer dance classes in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop and creative movement.
Music students can choose from private lessons in: piano, violin, woodwinds, guitar, drums, and vocal music. Our acting classes encourage imagination and self-expression. For students interested in visual arts, we offer classes for children and teens.
All potential students are able to enjoy one free group class or a free 15-minute private music assessment to find a class or teacher that is the perfect fit. Accomplished dancers who want to perform characters in a dance production can join the Performing Company. Dancers are taught to express and act out their characters through dance. They also learn about choreography, costume design, stage make-up, and props.
At Exhale, our focus is not on winning trophies (although that’s fun too!) but on developing the complementary skills necessary to be successful in life.
Our Core dancers will work on pieces that will be placed in competitions and professional events. The Apprentice dancers will understudy the Core members. A high level of maturity, respect, and commitment is required of the students.
