This course provides a strong understanding of motivational interviewing including foundational concepts, processes, and skills that will engage clients to move towards change.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an approach designed to overcome ambivalence and support clients to develop and build their own argument for a particular change. MI is a client-centred approach which is simple but not easy.
It requires knowledge in both MI and the Stages of Change model, along with the development of a specific set of skills through practice. Agilec has extensive experience implementing MI in employment programs and services. This experience has resulted in the creation of three levels of MI training and coaching that is tailored to learners.
Level #1 - Dealing with Discord and Resistance (Two-Day Training):
This introduction to MI provides the learner with a strong understanding of motivational interviewing. Based in the theories of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Stages of Change, this training will help the learner to identify when resistance is present and develop skills to engage with the client, helping them to move past resistance toward change. Employment related videos are used throughout this training to reinforce learning and bring concepts to life.
We measure our success as an organization by the successes of the businesses and individuals we have served for over 35 years. The very human way in which we operate is driven by who we are at our core. It is in our DNA, and embedded in our mission, values, and company culture.
To help people and organizations develop their potential.
Each of the dots in our logo represents one of our six values that forms the foundation—the very core—of our company. Everything we do is guided by these values. From the way we work with you to the way we give back to the community, our internal culture is one with heart and purpose.
HR professionals are the most integral part of any organization. They help recruit, reward, train, motivate, develop, and effectively utilize human capital to drive business results and ensure a high performance culture within their organization.
The training gives a large place to games where the participants are called upon to experience the change. There are different types of changes: internal changes, external changes, changes of objectives, changes in the means available to achieve one's objectives.
In connection with our Global Partners, Agile People, Servant Leadership Academy is proud to present the Agile People Human Resources Series, aimed at people who are in what organizations traditionally call the Human Resources (HR) domain.
This three-day workshop will introduce those managers to human resource concepts. We will walk you through the hiring process, from performing a skills inventory to conducting the interview; discuss orientation; and cover some issues that arise after the hiring.
