This is a performance based class and the pupils are given as much opportunity as possible to take part in performances throughout the year.
These performances ensure the pupils are given time to put the skills they are learning into practise, gaining invaluable theatre experience.
The class itself is split into 3 sections and the students rotate between individual teachers who are all specialists in their fields, ensuring the pupils get the best possible training in each discipline.
To aid this, guest teachers working in the industry may visit the academy to help enrich the students learning.
Discounts are offered for children who take other termly invoiced dance classes at SLP Junior Academy.
SLP Junior Academy provides a high level of training in Dance and Musical Theatre. Our focus is on progressive teaching within a fun and safe environment.
We offer classes in RAD Ballet as well as ISTD Modern and Tap for children aged 3 and above in a safe and caring environment a variety of other classes are also available including Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing, Jazz and Street Dance.
All of our pupils benefit from state of the art facilities designed for both Dance and Musical Theatre. We have eleven professional studios, changing facilities, Café area, “Dance Gear” shop and ample free parking in the college car park.
The ability to perform using multiple skills dancing and singing is the expected norm for the industry.
Musical Theatre classes are offered by SR Dance Academy. We provide dance classes to children and adults. We offer a safe haven for students to meet new friends, express themselves through dance and overall build self esteem.
Our classes are designed to help children and young people grow in to confident individuals whether they wish to pursue a career in the performing arts industry or not.
 House of Dance offer a supportive and inclusive environment for all children to develop confidence, life skills and acting experience.
As seen in musicals, Jazz dance has been popular for decades.
