SLP Junior Academy

Acro classes are offered by SLP Junior Academy. SLP Junior Academy provides a high level of training in Dance and Musical Theatre. Our focus is on progressive teaching within a fun and safe environment.

Here at SLP our Musical Theatre classes develop all 3 skills needed to create a performance: Singing, Dancing and Acting.

Modern Theatre Dance is a highly energetic and rhythmical dance style which originated in America before traveling to the rest of the world. It is often seen on the stages of musical theatre productions and is known for its technical qualities such as: Kicks, Leaps and Turns.

Here at SLP Junior Academy, the skills gained in our Jazz classes help to develop and strengthen the technique learnt from Modern Dance and is used to enhance styles such as commercial and lyrical.

Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals such as; Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Book of Mormon and Billy Elliot. The classes are technique based with opportunities to take ISTD examinations from primary to ADV2 level.
