A modern dancer needs to develop control, strength and flexibility which in turn become the foundations of Jazz and Musical Theatre dance.
At SLP we train our pupils to gain this expertise from pre-primary (*Peter Pan Starlets*) to Advanced 2 level.
SLP Junior Academy provides a high level of training in Dance and Musical Theatre. Our focus is on progressive teaching within a fun and safe environment.
We offer classes in RAD Ballet as well as ISTD Modern and Tap for children aged 3 and above in a safe and caring environment a variety of other classes are also available including Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing, Jazz and Street Dance.
All of our pupils benefit from state of the art facilities designed for both Dance and Musical Theatre. We have eleven professional studios, changing facilities, Café area, “Dance Gear” shop and ample free parking in the college car park.

Jazz 1 classes are offered by KS Dance Academy. We offer many wonderful experiences for our students including the opportunity to participate in exams, shows, galas and fairs, festivals and competitions.
Grade 3 Modern Jazz classes are offered by Didsbury Theatre School. We teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Drama, Singing, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Singing for 2-18 year olds in a friendly and professional environment.
We do two types of Jazz within our sessions- theatrical jazz is typical of what you see on the West End stage, whereas lyrical jazz is a more emotive style- typical of what you see on programmes such as 'The Next Step'.
This Class will consist of a Strengthening & Conditioning Warm Up with a focus on Jazz Technique. Every week will be a different dynamic Contemporary Jazz routine that is guaranteed to push you in both musicality & technique.
