The Jazz classes are worked on a rotation basis between the more upbeat and energetic commercial style and the slow, controlled lyrical routines.
Within these classes the pupils will work on strengthening, toning, stretching as well as developing pick up skills by learning free work.
To attend this class you must also attend a weekly Modern Class. For anyone wanting a career in dance, this class captures the fast moving, upbeat pace of industry classes.
SLP Junior Academy provides a high level of training in Dance and Musical Theatre. Our focus is on progressive teaching within a fun and safe environment.
We offer classes in RAD Ballet as well as ISTD Modern and Tap for children aged 3 and above in a safe and caring environment a variety of other classes are also available including Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing, Jazz and Street Dance.
All of our pupils benefit from state of the art facilities designed for both Dance and Musical Theatre. We have eleven professional studios, changing facilities, Café area, “Dance Gear” shop and ample free parking in the college car park.
Jazz classes don’t follow a syllabus, instead featuring a wide variety of modern choreographic styles.
Modern Jazz is the ‘icing on the cake subject’ and all our youngsters look forward to joining these classes as soon as they can. Classes are lively, noisy, energetic and full of fun, everyone wants to do them!
Jazz dance classes are offered by SR Dance Academy. We provide dance classes to children and adults. We offer a safe haven for students to meet new friends, express themselves through dance and overall build self esteem.
Jam Dance’s aim is to teach and inspire their students to develop their technical knowledge and ability as well as instilling confidence and passion for dance and performance.
The teacher adapts the routines to suit individuals so this class is suitable for all levels (except professional level).
