The Dance Theatre Performing Arts is a performing arts school offering Children’s and Adult’s classes in dance, drama and voice.
Although taught separately, all classes are inter-related, and culminate in a full musical theatre production at the end of the season.
Recent productions have included: Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, and Alice in Wonderland.
Pointe starts with pre-ballet, which is an introduction to ballet. Pointe work is available to students who show the physical strength needed, while meeting proper age requirements to safely execute this style of dance.
Advanced ballet dancers may go on to dance on pointe – a style of dance performed in pointe shoes on the tips of the toes. Our pointe program is by invitation only.
Focuses on fundamental techniques which develop strength, poise and flexibility. Use of core muscles and discipline skills are developed. Ballet is the basis of all dance forms. Style of ballet studied is RAD Ballet where graded and non-graded levels are available.Â

Ballet is a classical dance style involving grace, precision and discipline. Specific positioning of the body and technique are learned to classical music. It can be considered the foundation for solid dance training in other styles.
