Although the entry barrier is not high, the starting salary is not low, and the work content is easier and more intuitive than financial accounting, so it is the best choice for many people in the industry and outside the industry.

In Australia, payroll, as an independent branch, has many job opportunities. Nicole Many students who have just graduated or have no experience or have not studied accounting are very interested in consulting payroll officer or payroll specialist jobs. 

Because the salary is high and the working relationship is very simple. Many accounts officers or AAs or FAs with accounting academic background or accounting work experience want to switch to payroll (Nicole, the payroll specialist teacher at the accounting training, is already a Qualified CPA, and has now transformed into a payroll manager in different units). 

At the same time, many employers are working in finance because of their Integration with HR personnel and system upgrades, high-quality job seekers with accounting background are also welcome to join. This course helps everyone fill in the gaps in payroll professional knowledge. In order to truly help every student, Nicole Accounting Training divides students into two types:

Type 1: How to quickly master the practical operations of payroll processing without any payroll experience , and then add the understanding of award and regular to this basis to become a Payroll specialist. Such students need to choose Part 1 and Part 2 to study at the same time

Type 2:  Some payroll experience wants to be promoted to Payroll Manager or Payroll Specialist. Just choose Part 2 of study.

  • Timely and accurate process and verification of time sheets (based on Awards & Enterprise Agreement)
  • Process salary variations and adjustments (backpay, bonuses and commissions etc.)
  • Process payments to external institutions for employee deductions ---  
  • PAYG and super
  • Process a large complex payroll –permanent Payroll & temporary payroll
  • Allowance, first aid allowance, extra duty allowance, on call allowance, call in allowance, high duty allowance, living away from home allowance, remove allowance, km allowance
  • Deductions, Process payments to external institutions for employee deductions, salary sacrifice, NLC, child support, garnishee, salary sacrifice, union fee,
  •   Analysis of different timesheet type
  •   Process termination pay -     
  •  Super Underpay and Overpay Process, Calculation and Reconciliation
  • Session 2-1: Leave entitlement
  • Leave Entitlement Type
  • Leave Accrual Calculation
  • Process holiday leave and Personal leave all leave transactions to maintain accurate leave entitlement records
  • Unused Leave Payments on termination                     
  • Session 3: Pay Run
  • Prepare for pay run (Pre pay run audit reports)
  • Process pay run (Standard pay run procedure)
  • Fix pay run error
  • Post pay run checking reports, analysis, validation and reconciliation
  • Release EFT
  • Rollover to the next pay
  • Off-cycle pay run and manual payment, advance payment for net pay amount
