DurationCompetitive teams offer your child the chance to experience the joy of performing more often throughout the season! Our competitive teams’ mission is to instill a strong work ethic and sense of dedication in each child. We are keenly aware that every child on our teams has the potential to grow and benefit from his or her additional experiences in rehearsals and onstage.
We love seeing our competitive team dancers demonstrate the character qualities of perseverance, resilience, and good sportsmanship during practice and at performance events. At Exhale, our focus is not on winning trophies (although that’s fun too!) but on developing the complementary skills necessary to be successful in life.
At Exhale, we focus on cultivating people, not just dancers. We believe that the performing arts are meant to teach young people values of time management, teamwork, and dedication. We believe that the youth should understand the importance of giving back to their community and encourage our dancers to be active in this way.
Most importantly, we believe that each child is different. We value kindness, community, and caring for our students and our families above all else.
Accomplished dancers who want to perform characters in a dance production can join the Performing Company. Dancers are taught to express and act out their characters through dance. They also learn about choreography, costume design, stage make-up, and props.
Our Core dancers will work on pieces that will be placed in competitions and professional events. The Apprentice dancers will understudy the Core members. A high level of maturity, respect, and commitment is required of the students.
This is a class built and designed for the student who wants to pursue dance as their career. Taking the technique from Ballet and Modern classes and learning about Modern choreography from around the world.
