Hint of Shimmer is a professional airbrush makeup and event hair styling company based in Austin, Texas. We specialize in traveling to clients and providing beauty services at their location. Since founded in 2010, our team has expanded to include other exceptional makeup artists and hairstylists ready to accommodate clients on-site in and around Austin and the surrounding Hill Country.

Our experience ranges from Film, Television, Print and Runway. But our passion resides in providing personalized service for your most special occasions. Engagement portraits, Bridal portraits, Boudoir portraits, Weddings, Modeling portraits, Proms, Quinceañeras and any other special events!

We also offer Norvell airbrush spray tanning either in our Southwest Austin studio or in the comfort of your own home. Lauren Hogenson, Founder and Lead Makeup Artist, was trained under the world renowned Makeup Artist Douglas Marvaldi. Prior to makeup artistry, Lauren hailed from the advertising world.

Yearning for a more creative outlet and a passion for making others feel good, she took off the proofreader hat and picked-up a makeup brush. And the rest is history! 

Credits include Nautica, Covergirl, Winter Park Fashion Week, Austin Fashion Week, Tribeza Style Week, Austin Wedding Day magazine, and hundreds of Austin area brides and their families and friends.
