In Photo II Intermediate Practice students with a foundational understanding of digital photography basics will continue to expand their knowledge through this course. They will strengthen their ability to utilize digital editing software and practice editing tools and techniques, including masking and retouching.
With an emphasis on issues within contemporary photography and image-based media, students will be introduced to the visual language of photography and intention building behind making an image. This groundwork will help students as they learn how to develop a photographic series as a way of storytelling which will also include a brief introduction to artist statement writing.

Learn to make more interesting portraits. We'll talk about what to consider when planning a portrait, including the type of portrait and its intended use, from expressive natural portraits to engaging posed portraits, portraits of family and friends or formal headshots, street captures.
We will act like tourists in our own city capturing landmarks and exploring hidden places and spaces as well. Students will create postcard-worthy images of our favorite city, Boston! Please note this class is 10-2pm, Tuesday, Wed and Thursday.

This workshop is made for everyone, for foodies and fans, chefs and cooks alike. Learn how to make your food photos delicious but also as fresh and colorful as your creation (or the restaurant's) using your mobile phone's camera.
In this program students will learn the principles of camera and lighting and their various digital platforms. After completing this program you will be able to work as a lighting technician, camera operator, and/or camera assistant.
