Photography Basics

The purpose of the school is not only to impart knowledge and discuss the paradigms of photography as part of the visual arts but to have a multi-faceted approach to the photographic act and to the different disciplines that are related to it.

It is for this reason that  we have several types of workshops, taught by professional and well known photographers that are skilled and trained  in photography as well as teaching.

The plans for this school are coherent with the work we have done during the twenty-four previous years in Caracas. Years of dedication that converge, like the images, in the line of the transient and fugitive, the eternal and immutable.

Roberto Mata School of Photography is a school that aims at supporting students in an environment in which there’s harmony between their goals and the support needed to achieve them.

Besides being a school of photography, we are focused on promoting and exchange all types of ideas related to this art.

Our school opened in 1993 and, ever since, it has had over four thousand students, many of them still involved with photography and the school.

Roberto Mata School of Photography in Miami is vested in promoting photography in a city of constant changes, that needs an identity and to build a memory.

Our school has arrived to deepen the language of the images and serve a community that craves visual and narrative tools. We have a great job ahead of us and would love for you to join us!
