This course is ideal for the enthusiastic amateur photographer.
You will move away from shooting with the camera in automatic mode, and start using the various camera functions that will enable you to take control of your photographs, creating work that is more personal.

This two-day course will cover the principles and theory of photographic lighting and relate these to the studio environment by practical demonstration and hands on application.
You will develop visual language for portfolio use, in depth research skills, planning and professional photography production techniques. You will get the opportunity to work in our specialist photographic studio, editing suites and animation suite.
This Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design (Photography) is the ideal route for anyone who would like to complete one of our Level 3 courses here at The Manchester College but who doesn't yet meet the necessary entry requirements.
In this course we will be covering the camera, its functions, modes, basics of creating an image.
You'll have privileged access to the animals to give you some amazing photo opportunities. With an expert tutor on hand throughout, you'll learn how to get the most from your camera and the best techniques to capture action and portrait shots.
