Hey there, my name is AJ Crawshaw and I have been a successful musician and music teacher on the Kapiti Coast for twelve years.
Six years ago I opened a music school, which has been growing ever since, and our lessons now cover a growing range of instruments and styles. We are currently the largest provider of one on one lessons on the Kapiti Coast.
Currently we teach guitar, piano, keyboard, singing, drums, ukulele, bass guitar, flute, and band classes
Piano classes are offered by Whangarei Youth Music. Good communication and input from the student is important to an enjoyable experience.Â
Our schools are purpose-built and provide the ideal environment for learning music.
Piano classes are offered by Mauao Performing Arts Centre. Education is provided by industry professionals that perform and play within the community.
I teach a wide range of pupils: from my youngest students in P1, all the way up to retirees; from absolute beginners through to ABRSM Diploma. I also have experience of working with pupils with particular learning needs; such as dyslexia, autism and PDA.
The versatility of the piano makes it one of the most popular musical instruments. We use the piano in many different genres of music; classical, jazz, blues, traditional, contemporary and so on.
