Piano Lessons

Welcome to Marin Community Music School, your Marin County  community resource for private lesson instruction and chamber music coaching for students of all ages.  

We offer private lessons in guitar, drums, bass, violin, viola, cello, ukulele, music theory and composition, and piano.  New students are welcome to enroll throughout the year.  Arrange an introductory visit here.

 The music school is conveniently located in downtown San Anselmo in Marin County,  easily accessible from any area in central Marin and beyond.  MCMS is offering in-person private lessons for all ages at the school, in compliance with county-mandated Covid-19 protocols.   

Masks are mandatory when inside the school.  Group classes are not available at this time, but we plan to reinstate them in Spring.  Please check back for updates.

Since its founding in 2009 the school has been offering lessons, classes, recitals, and events.  Our instructors are active performing musicians, teaching a diverse selection of instruments and styles, to over 100 students, ranging in age from 5 to 85.

MCMS is a non-profit music school, dedicated to providing reasonably-priced quality musical instruction to the Marin community.  We believe  making music is an important part of everyday life, and encourage interested students of all ages to learn a new instrument, rekindle musical skills from years past, or develop their existing skills to a higher level of artistic excellence.
