Piano lessons combine music chosen by the student with pieces chosen by the teacher to provide the necessary challenges of instrumental instruction to keep the student engaged and having fun.
Your teacher will talk to you about your goals and interests to determine the best course of action for your studies. Advanced students will work on sonatas, concertos, and large scale works to polish their performing and practicing skills.
We strongly recommend owning, renting, or borrowing an acoustic piano for practice. A keyboard with weighted keys will work for the first few years. Let us know if you want help finding a piano to rent or buy.
