Course Details

For students wishing to pursue Pointe technique in the upper levels of Classical Ballet Demi Pointe is a prerequisite.

This class focuses on the development of the legs and feet through use of therabands and other specialized training exercises.

Students must take Demi Pointe for a minimum of 2 years prior to taking Pointe technique.

  • Sabina was born and raised in Kazakhstan and received most of her dance education there. Sabina began training in Vaganova Ballet at a young age and in her teen years expanded her dance training to include Folk dancing, Hip Hop and Irish dancing. Sabina took the time to complete her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in English Philology and Translation Theory. After completion of her Masters Degree she dedicated her time to teaching academics at a university and schools in Kazakhstan. After moving to Turkey she continued to dance in a contemporary company to maintain her dance training and performance career. In 2013 Sabina immigrated to Canada. Since coming to Canada Sabina has continued to develop her Ballet education by joining the Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society. She continues to train weekly and perform in productions with the company. Her Past performances include roles in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty and Coppelia.
