Physicality, stamina, stability and strength will all be considered criteria. It is a requirement that all new pointe students register for a minimum of two Classical Ballet/PMT classes per week in order to keep up with the technical demands.

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 15 students to provide the best possible learning environment and individual monitoring & attention.
Ballet is often referred to as the “foundation of dance”. Dancers who study ballet are learning technique, terminology, and self-discipline.
After an appropriate amount of Ballet is studied, dancers may begin training “en pointe”. Dancing in toe shoes requires strength and correct body alignment. Dancers must be at least 12 years of age and have instructor’s approval.
At the Primary level all classes use a fun but structured class foundation while using props and a variety of music. As Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms, it is strongly encouraged for all serious dance students.
Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance because it allows opportunities for students to develop grace, poise, and musicality. The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus is used as the basis for all classes.
