As well as these fundamental movements the dancers also learn to follow instructions and take turns while making dancing memories with their peers.
These classes are limited to 10 students so that they do not feel overwhelmed and are able to enjoy the first steps in their dancing journey. We have two classes during the week in school hours, and one class on Saturday morning.
From age 5 and above we offer a full syllabus of bbodance ballet classes and we also offer Junior Jazz lessons from age 6.
The Sara Anderson School of Dance is a Christchurch based dance school that started in 2011 after Sara was offered the opportunity to start her own school.
From originally teaching just two days per week Miss Sara and Miss Meri now offer classes six days per week in our own dedicated dance studio located at 62 Orbell Street, Sydenham. There are two dance studios with sprung dance floors to maximise our dancers' comfort and minimise the chance of any injuries.
They teach students a love of dancing from the age of three years through to adults. All classes are taught in a professional, friendly environment at 62 Orbell Street, the home of this Christchurch dance school.
This class is designed for younger dancers (3-4 years old). With use of props and fun music, we aim to give students an enjoyable introduction into the world of dance.
Our youngest class is Mini Movers, designed for 18 months - 3 year olds, helping to familiarise your little one with the sounds and sights of dance through fun and interactive nursery rhyme games.
Our classes will help boost your children's fitness, help their confidence while giving them the skills to bring out the latest dance moves.
Our Pre School dance classes are our very first introduction class for students.
Little Dots is designed for beginner 4 & 5 year olds.
