Professional Make Up Artist

Throughout the practical training days, the course will cover make-up looks from creating the perfect base and airbrush make up for foundation; right through to smoky-eyes, vintage bridal and contouring techniques.

It’s a hands-on intensive course focused on acquiring the techniques to begin creating a range of make-up looks, most in demand by clients in the industry.

What this cover covers:

• Health, safety & hygiene
• Consultation techniques
• Contraindications
• Identifying a variety of lip, face and eye shapes and how application of make-up should be adapted
• Creating a flawless finish to the skin
• Application of traditional bridal/day make-up including the use of the following products: concealer, foundation, loose powder, eyeshadow and pencil liner, mascara, blusher, lipstick and lip liner
• Application of evening/prom make-up

Bridal Make Up & Airbrushing:

• Application of Airbrush Make-Up
• Modern & Vintage make-up including application of liquid liner with a wing/flick and bold vibrant lips
• Application of strip lashes to enhance eye make-up

Evening & Glamour Make Up:

• Creating a glamour/red carpet look
• Celebrity contouring
• Smokey eyes & cut create techniques
• Ombre lips
• Aftercare Advice

Course Structure:

This course is structured over three days and runs from 10am – 4pm. We ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch.
